I started off a keyboard player and took up the bass in 1980 after the bassist in my band quit. Ove the years I’ve played in several bands.

My current band is called The Menu. We specialise in weddings and corporate events all over Scotland but based at Loch Lomond.

I’ve collected a few basses over the years – a cavern 61 Hofner, 1980 Precision – my first decent bass which I defrettred around 20 years ago.

A Musicman Stingray5, a Hudson Project 6 string bass plus a few others.

I’d love a Rickenbacker 4001 or 4003.

My band play mainly covers and we do a lot of weddings in the Loch Lomond area.
