My name is Ingi Ingason and i am a 30 year lefty-bassplayer from
Reykjavik, Iceland. I started playing when i was turning 14, after it had been a dream
of mine for some years to have my own bass guitar. I then got my first bass guitar,
Aria Pro II, and was mostly playing heavy metal to begin with, Cliff Burton being my
idol. But of course i couldnt look pass Sir McCartney, the one and only genius, and
was later very influenced by his work.
I later bought a Fender Jazz Bass (japanese made). I replaced the original pick-ups
with EMG passive pickups. The sound was, and still is amazing, especially when it comes
to studio sessions. For some reason i then sold my Aria Pro II (i know, you should
always hold on to your first ...)
Then in march 2009 i got what i dreamt of for ages, a "Hofner 500/1 '62 ri"......what
a beauty :)
In the year 2002 i decided to take music a bit more seriously, and was accepted
in Paul McCartney´s LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts), graduated
there in July 2005, and have been very active as a professional musician ever since.
