Up To Eleven formerly known as SpitFire, was born in 2006, out
of the common passion for heavy music shared by 4 music lovers. As a result of a long
series of rehearsals, Up To Eleven had their debut in July 2006, covering their favorite
bands and songs. The band's own style carries influences from grunge, metal and alternative.
Throughout the years Up To Eleven played in clubs such as: Utopia, Basement, Big Mamou
and Suburbia, opening for Nostradameus (Sweden) or sharing the stage with different
bands such as Luna Amara, NeXus, Voodoo.
In April 2008 the band was invited to hold a live performance followed by an interview
at the Autostrada TVR Show.
The summer of 2008 gave the band the opportunity to be part of several festival line
ups: Dacorum Bike Fest, Pro Bikers Party(where they shared the stage with Act, Quartz,
Altar, Luna Amara, Directia 5), Academia de Rock. In the fall of the same year they
performed at the Global Battle of the BandsCompetition.
2009 was a busy year filled with achievements and lots of music. The row of concerts
held in 2009 culminated with the band signing up for the ''Maximum Rock Support for
Underground'' contest and winning the first prize. This prize came as a huge step ahead,
an achievement and, to the same extent, a recognition of the band's merit.
As a consequence, the beginning of 2010 was the landmark for a fresh new start in the
band's history sealed with a big change they have recently made. Besides being taken
under the guidance of a professional manager the band has made another big change,
one that they have been considering for a long time now. After all the musical experience
they have gathered along the years the guys found proper to change the name of their
band into something more representative.
Formerly known as SpitFire, Lax, Bobo, Liviu and Leo are now "Up to Eleven"
- name chosen as a metaphor of their huge passion for music, hard-working nature and
desire to reach the top. With their engines up to eleven the guys are now working on
the release of their first album, "Escape". |
