I was born on June 21st 1956.
I started playing bass around the tender age of 15. Like many of us, I tried playing right handed, then lefty upside down on righty basses, before I settled on playing the 'conventional' way. I was heavily influenced in the early days of my playing by John Entwistle and used to drive me mum nuts by playing Live at Leeds over and over and over until I got it right. Well, at least what I thought was right!
I have generally played in cover bands over the years, occasionally venturing into the world of original material bands. Some of the styles I've dabbled in are blues, prog rock, early 60's vocal based pop bands, classic rock, or just about anything you would hear on the radio pre 1996.
I currently play in two bands in the metro Phoenix Arizona area, and hope to put together a Who tribute band in the near future.

GEAR:
I currently use a 1996 Ken Smith BSRM5MW as my main axe. It just feels so darn good in my hands!
#2 is a 2002 Ric 4003V63MG-LH. It's a sweet bass and deserves more time out of the closet.
#3 is a 1991 an Olympic white Japanese Jazz bass. I've modded it with Bartolini's pups and pre.
#4 is my 1978 blonde on blone Fender P. It does wonders on early Pink Floyd tunes.

AMP:
The latest rig is a Little MarkII head into Bergantino HT112 and EX112. I love the lightness and portability of the rig. No more lugging around SVT's for me, my back can't take it. Not to mention I get compliments all the time about my tone with this rig.
