I now own 3 basses. I mostly play custom made fretless five string
partly made by four different persons including myself. If it is guitar like solos
i have to play i use YAMAHA TRB 5IIL. The reason i bought that bass wass that I´m
great fan of John Patitucci. And the one I use for rock or outside events in rainy
conditions that don´t require necessarily special sound is a HOHNER Professional
PG 4 string. That is the one i look TV with :)
I am an old guy (36 years old), who was born in Bulgaria, but I still believe there
is music in me that is worth hearing. I´ve studied conservatory and have successfully
made diplom jazz e-bass in Vienna, but nothing can be compared with what we learn listening
the greatest musicians and developing what has been given to us :)
I have played with at least 15 different bands. I love jazz! I
love the music of Wayne Shorter, Michael Brecker, Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheny, The
Beatles etc.
And some fun for end :)
It is the irony of life. When I was some 7-8 years old when I felt on a piece of glass
and a tendon in my left hand has been cut. It was my little finger´s. So when
my father brought me in the hospital the doctor said: It is very complicated surgery
you know, ....and he (me) is not going to be a musician anyway?
My father said: No, musician no :) So they left my left hand´s little finger
as it was and it was only 2-3 years later when I started playing and I had to learn
to play lefthand :)
I´m glad to share these things with you :)
