I started playing bass some 20 years ago when I got bored with the trumpet. I've always
been a lefty, but when you are little and can't afford your own instruments, you learn
to play on what is around you, so I learned to play on instruments that were strung
right-handed. Of course, my first basses we also rightys, including a Fender P-bass,
Rickenbacker 4003, Kubicki Factor, Spector, Steinberg and various others I can't recall
        at the moment!

My first purpose-built lefty is a custom Modulous Graphite (see pic) 5-string that
I absolutely love to this day. It is my workhorse. I also had a Fender P-bass lefty
that I beat up and put EMG pick-ups in to record some deeper stuff on one of my old
bands albums. You can see some of my band videos at: www.youtube.com/stevesecor if you like. Some of the
videos are originals and there are various of bar bands playing cover tunes. My main
original band was called The Voice. We did four of our own cd's before the only offers
we received were not enough money to quit our day jobs. I added to my guitars with
a 1983 Rickenbacker Bowtie in white/white. That bass was STOLEN about two years ago
and I am desperately trying to find a lefty RIK to replace it. I have also recently
ordered a Gibson Thunderbird (sunburst) that I hope to receive in a month or so. My
rig is a Trace Elliott GP12SMX with a Trace Elliott 4X10 cabinet. I just love it's
tone but hope to add a vintage Orange to it soon for tube sound. I do run an Apple
iPad with Ampli-tube for my effects unit.

Currently I'm having fun playing 80's cover tunes in my band Rocket 8. Hit us up on
        facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rocket-8/112737701365

I'd love to connect with more lefty players. Feel free to message me!
