Hi Arni!
You really have a cool site going on here! Good luck!

In rock, we trust
Thomas

I`m 28 years old, born and raised in Norway, and have been playing bass for about 12 years. I started with a guitar I got for Christmas at age 14, but soon fell in love with the bass. Something about the thick strings fascinated me. And it`s really satisfying to be the spine of the music, together with the drums.

My first bass was a righthand Ibanez Soundgear. The only problem with
this bass was the upper cutaway, which is very long, so when I flipped the bass upside down the strap prevented me from playing above the 12th fret. I played this bass for many years, until I couldn`t take it anymore, and got me a custom build lefthand Eugen jazzbass model.
(Eugen is a Norwegian guitarmaker, check him out, he?s got really good
stuff!) I also have a Westone righthand, that I never use, and a lefty Hohner precision copy, and just resently, I bought an Eastwood Hi Flyer. A cool bass, perfect for pop. But my main axe is the Eugen.
Kickass for rock`n` roll!

Nowadays, I play and record with solo artist William Hut. His latest
release called "Nightfall" (Universal Records) just went gold! I also have my own band called The Danny Cannon Show. We released our debut-record "Lycanthrope" on our own label in August ?06. A shit-kicking rock outfit! Check us out on www.myspace.com/thedannycannonshow

Rock`n` roll is my main genre, but I tend to drop by for some pop, as
well as country, because it`s fun to try different stuff. I like goofing around with sound effect, using many pedals live and during recording. I`m a big fan of distortion! I got a bargain on an Electro Harmonix bass synth in the US a while ago! What an insane pedal! Check
it out!
4 years ago I bought a complete Ampeg rig, but stupid as I was, I got
the SVT 350. A transistor amp. It didn`t do justice to the cabinet, so I swapped it for the SVT Classic some months ago, and holy crap, what a completely different sound! The warm sound of the tubes! It`s the only way?

As a bassist I guess I`m a bit of a showman. Like to jump around and
get lost in the music! Many a time have I lost/smashed my bass in the stagefloor, falling over during the action. Maybe it`s time for some tune-ups? As far as influence goes, Ben Shepherd of Soundgarden has inspired me the most. As far as posing, maybe Gene Simmons. Hehe.
