Well now its Bill Morgan in Anchorage, Alaska
I've taken a job based in Lagos with a manufacturer of valves for the oil industry.
Nigeria has a huge indigenous music scene that I have been aware of for years and I
considered it a real opportunity to come here. My assignment is supposed to be for
two years.
I've joined a group of ex-patriate oilfield professionals that also play music. We
played a post golf tournament dance at the Nicon Hilton in Abuja, Nigeria. I have included
a picture of me and that Smith 5-String that I may have told you about. All my "kids"
(guitars) will eventually join me here. My first bass was a Hofner Violin Bass. I have
gone through a series of Fenders and currently have 5-String Rick Turner Fretless,
6-String Warwick Thumb, and 4-String G&L 2000. I play guitar as well and have two
acoustics and two electrics. |
