I started playing piano at age 5, but after getting jealous of my younger brother's
guitar, I decided to play guitar, too. Since my brother is right handed, I couldn't
ever get it right, until I discovered the Beatles and watched Paul McCartney playing
left handed. I flipped the strings over and off I went! I bought a bass at around age
10 and have been the bass player for years now.
I'm currently playing in Krush Kelvin, a 'heavy rock' band, as we like to call it.
Everything from our originals, to Metallica to the Beatles. Something for everyone!
We're working up a new batch of originals to take to the studio soon, and we hope to
be rich and famous by the end of the year.
My basses are a 1982 Rickenbacker 4003s LH that is getting a full "Wings"
conversion and a 1991 Höfner 500/1LH "Beatle" Bass. My equipment is
a Trace Elliot 150 watt heat played through our band's Peavy PA. I'm always on the
lookout for vintage Vox bass amplifiers, though!
