My name is Carlos Alvarez and I'm from San Antonio, Texas in the US. I play
Trumpet (my main instrument) and Electric Bass. I am currently playing Bass with a
Jazz/R & B group called Claudette and the Afterhours.
My current equipment set up is the following:
Basses:
Fender Jazz with Bartolini Stacked Dual Coils; a BadAss II; Aguilar OBP-3; Hipshot
D-Tuner to "B"
Wawick Corvette Pro 6 with Bartolini Soap Bars (also came with a wide five string neck
and conversion kit); Hipshot "Ultra-Lites" and a D-Tuner to "A"
a right-handed Fender Precision Deluxe 5 (played on and autographed by Willie Weeks
when on the road with country artist Vince Gill)
Strings:
Ken Smith for the Warwick
DR's or D'Addario's for the Jazz
Pedals:
Sadowsky Pre-Amp (floor unit), Roland/Boss GT-6B, Akai Deep Impact, Ernie Ball Vol
Ped, MXR Auto Q and am waiting on a custom "Loooper" from Dave at loooper.com
Amp/Rig:
Ampeg SVP-PRO, QSC RMX1450, Avatar 410
Monitors:
Shure PSM600 - wired with either Shure E1's or FutureSonics. I am currently waiting
for some Shure E5's to be sent to me.
