I have only really been playing bass for the last year or so - my primary
instruments are guitar and piano, but here in Los Angeles it's much easier to get
a gig around town if you play bass or drums as well.
I play a right-handed TOBIAS 4-string flipped backwards...since my style
doesn't incorporate any slapping or much in the way of jazz-type chording, it
works out fine just to play right-handed basses
upside down. Looks cool, too.
I don't play bass regularly with any band right now, although I had the fortune
recently to perform with the band CLOCK (feat. Vivian Campbell), and have recorded
with GHOST TOWN RD., as well as my own band THE SOLO PROJECT. No official released
material, though.
As far as equipment, I will play through whatever bass amp is available - doesn't
matter which one...
cheers!
