I play bass with Finnish singer Maija Vilkkumaa.

I´ve been doing that since ´99 and we are doing very well. I got my first bass when I was 15. I become a professional bass player by accident. There was a audition (two persons!) for supstitute player In Jonna Tervomaa´s band In ´98 I guess. Eventually I become a full member for about year and a half. And when I switched to Maija Vilkkumaa band, that ment a dying day for my trombone studies! I was suppose to become a trombone teacher. Well, those days are gone. We have been touring In finland about 80 gigs per year.

Gear; My main rig is Ampeg SVT Classic´99 amp and Ampeg 8x10"cab. I also use Warwick Quad VI with Warwick 4x10" and 2x10" cabs for smaller/freelance gigs. Basses from number one to minor; Fender precision ´77, G&L L1505L, Jaydee GA24, heavily modificated ´80´s Tokai jazz bass and Warwick rockbass 5. I am heavily into effect pedals. For active use I have Boss TU-2, Sansamp bass driver DI, E-H pog and Dunlop bass wah. I also use whenever needed Boss CEB-2, Moog Ring Modulator, E-H Big muff and various other.
