"What a frustration not to be able to try and play more upright basses !

I often dream of a left-handed upright bass shop"

Amicales salutations aux adroits de la gauche !

I was born in 1950 and began to play classical guitar at 10 years old. My first LH bass was a 1969 Hagstrom solid body.
I played in Paris with Cinelu brothers ( Mino on drums, Patrice on guitar) inspired by Hendrix, Cream, Zappa, and founded "Sacrum" with François Gagnepain on claviers, Xavier Ros on drums.
I turned to jazz when I settled in Bordeaux in 1977 and got a fretless LH precision Fender, then an Echo fretless acoustic bass to be close to the uprightbass sound.
I found at least in 1981 a cheap worn laminated doublebass and modified it by myself for lefty self-taught playing. I've plaid for 30 years with various local groups and hope to keep on swinging as long !
