Fender Precision 1976
I'm selling my old precision, bought here from USA many years ago.
I have two necks, the original one, fretless (mapple/rosewood) and a full mapple one
from 1978, fretted.
So, what's original :
- The fretless neck
- hardware
- bridge
- bridge cover
- thumb rest
- case (faded)
What has been modified :
- the body (additional routing for the jazz pickup, jack hole on the side). It has
some dings and scratches
- the pots and the electronic have been adapted for the additional jazz pickup
=> there's one volume per pickup and a master tone control
What has been replaced/added :
- the pickguard
- the pickups (a P/J set handmade in France : Benedetti)
- an additional potentiometer
- the jack connector
- the fretted neck
I may consider to sell it with only the original neck fretless, for 1000 euros.
I won't sell it on fretted setup without the fretless neck. Then :
- "original" setup : 1000
- fretted setup + fretless neck : 1300
both necks are healthy, both trussrod are working normally. The fretless neck is in
a great state, the fretted one has some marks done on the side : a right-handed player
has probably used it and then marked it to see usual refs (3, 5, 7, etc.)

gibt´s immer wieder gebraucht bei Bassic.ch. Die Kontrollplatte kostet im Rockingershop
12,50; die Elektronik bei ebay ca 40,- wenn man sehr hochwertig zugreifen will. Ich
kann da auch gerne helfen.
Ideal für Leute, die gerne ihren Standard Bass pimpt. Der Bass ist technisch in
einem super Zustand. Body hat allerdings ein paar Dings und Dongs. Lack z.b. ist tw.
eingerissen. Sieht sehr edel und vintage aus. Aber das ist natürlich Geschmacksache.
Den Body hab ich abgeschraubt, um den Stempel zu kontrollieren.

Hello! I'm selling this great 5 string fretless. It was custom built for Anglagard
bass player Johan Hogberg (his name is on the headstock) by AdLib guitars in Stockholm
in the beginning of the 1990´s.
It is beautifully crafted and has a one piece mahogany body, jacaranda (king wood/rio rosewood) fretboard, a maple bolt on neck and Bartolini P/J active/passive push pull balance and tone.
It is in an excellent condition, I only played it at home (and Johan hardly played it).

Fender Jazz Bass 1972-1973
Made in USA
Lefty Fender jazz bass, 1973 serial number. Pots 1972. Can not recognize date from
pick ups, stamp is on the top (062 and 603 - see pics), but they were never changed.
Maybe special order according the stamp SPECIAL in the neck pocket - quite usual for
lefty orders from that period. So the wood could be older. Great tone. Ashtrays included,
modern gig bag included. 4,1 kg if I remember well.
All original except neck repair: new truss rod, new slab board ebony fingerboard -
fretless. Edging was kept and is original - it is easy to fret the neck back. Great
work by reputable luthier. I have the original pearl inlays also, if somebody would
like to restore.
(The neck became unusable due to previous owner who did not work with truss rod and
kept the bass for 30 years without usuall care. So shame on Mr. Francis Byrne from
UK who tricked me and sold me the bass as an instrument in good order. Ebay resolution
centre did not help. So please - all bass players and lovers of old fenders - beware
on sellers who are not able to tell you every info about bass condition - and truss
rod and neck condition in particular.)
