It´s the first time I´m in touch with a lefty bassplayer from Austria. Alexander Bickel. I like to thank him very much for getting his informations, like Jason Achilles Mezilis / USA as well. I´m glad to get your support!

By this time I hope to get the informations from all other lefties I´m in touch with. Please support my idea and send me your profiles.

Many of you have heard about the german luthier Gerald Marleaux (Marleaux-Basses) On July, 23, we met him in his great workshop in Claustal-Zellerfeld. You will find a review in the rubric "Meetings".

Hamer B12L Chaparral

It was my wish for a very long time. It took more than 4 weeks, negotiations with the pre-owner, discussion with the german customs, till I could hold it into my arms!

But now here it is!

...and there was the idea, witch I like to make come true.

Some weeks before, all seams to be perfect. But than there were so much trouble, I never thought before. Since this weeks, I was working day by day to find out solutions for all this things. Somtimes I liked to stop this project, but when I was listening to your music on this CD, I was really lucky.

And the result makes me proud.

I like to thank you all for your effort and your patience and now ...

There are so many events this time, that I am something missing, that wasn't offered in the Internet till now:

The time and money!

1. Paul Di Leo (USA) stays with "Nena" in Berlin right now and I try to meet him. If it doesn´t work this time, maybe a little bit later.

2. Eric Wiebelhaus (USA) comes to Düsseldorf. I also would like to meet him there.

3. Will Rogers will come for a show in munich at the end of September. I hope to see you, Will!

4. The trip to London had to be cancelled on reason of the missing time.

5. A lovely Fender Jazz Bass (made in Japan) has come into my house for a mercilessly reasonable price.

6. Immediately after this Fender deal, something unbelieveable happened----------->

7. The technical problems of our Lefty-CD became cleared.

8. The logistics for the project is completely

And the community of the left-handed bass players grows again!

Please give a big welcome to:

Sarah Masters / Australia,

Will Rogers / USA,

David LaFaire / USA,

Stephen Smith / England,

John Pitingolo / USA

There are moments, you can´t believe your own eyes no more!

So happens on 31-05-02:

We came from Bremen on this day and wanted to take a snack at the Musik Produktiv in Ibbenbüren / Germany. Then a short look into the "lefthand department" and as quickly as possible back home!
After we got our meal it happened:

There it was! A 76´ Fender Jazz Bass, Made in USA! Natural!! In an excellent condition! What then has happened, I can´t really remind by myself. All things that happend after this first sight, Sigi had to tell me afterward. I was so "drunken" from this moment on!
Since it is a second-hand instrument, only cash was announced.

I paid a deposit and made thought about how I can get the remaining money from. (Of course! You will find almost such bargains, when you have no money next time!)

One week later I´ve been able to free the Jazz Bass from the claws of the MP.
