This small website is online now for 9 years and it´s outfit hasn´t changed very often. Some had asked me for some changes or for a complete new outfit for it.

I´m sorry to tell you that I´m not a professional in music and webdesigning. I have a dayjob which costs me a lot of engagement, so I can´t spend more than 1 or 2 hours a day for our website. I hope of your comprehension and I promise you to find a way for a new face of www.leftybass.com next months. Okay?

That´s it for now. Stay in tune, have a good time and see you later!

Good news from Dave Edwards!

Hi Arni!

Wonderful news, I got my Precision bass back, please post it along with the pictures of my other basses now! LOL! Mike Proud,a friend and repair client of mine, that manages a pawn shop here, spotted it. The message written on the underside of the pickguard in Sharpie marker convinced the Reno police that it was mine. The person that tried to pawn it is in jail tonight. I got it back in time to play it on a gig this evening! The coolest thing, was, in my quest to find it, I visited MANY pawn shops here in Reno and Sparks. I just happened to find an Alembic Distillate bass stolen 2 years ago from one of my repair clients! He's getting his bass back as well! I'll be working on it next week! Man, how cool is that? I want to thank all the left handed (and righty) bassists on www.talkbass.com for being amazingly cool. I especially want to thank you, Arni for being so generous and selfless to the left handed bassist community! Thank you, Thank you!

Your friend, Dave Edwards

Please keep your eyes open for this bass!!!!

I got this email from Dave today:

My most recent acquisition, a Japanese made Fender Precision bass in Lake Placid Blue, was stolen from my mobile home in Reno, Nevada, on Oct. 25th. There is a police report. There was only one thing taken, this bass. That is strange, as there are a LOT of other basses, and luthier tools here that the thief could've easily taken.
The bass has had several things changed/upgraded. I installed Gotoh reverse wind tuners, an allthread bridge, thumbrest, Switchcraft jack, and American Fender 250k pots, and they are reversed- on is counterclockwise. I fabricated a mint green pickguard for it. I installed a full tin vintage style ground plate under that as well. I wrote something underneath in Sharpie marker, only I know what it says. It is proof of my ownership. If anyone has seen it, or is offered it to you for sale, please contact me... there is a reward, not that much, as I'm a working musician... I sold a bass to get this, the bass is valued at $1,000.00 U.S. dollars. Please look at the photos, of the pickguard fabrication, and the finished bass...

thanks,

Dave Edwards

If you have any informations to this bass, please let me know!

When I saw this (righthanded-) machinegun bass at first, I was a little bit shocked. Maybe you think different to that.

HK Coustom made AK-47

Reality or utopia?

The owner of this bass wishes to have for it. It´s a lefty Hofner Cavern bass from . I don´t know if someone payed this price, but guitars and basses from the early time of electric music will reach high prices. There are many colector from the USA or Japan who are intresting in this items. I´m often astonished about the great condition of all these 30 or 40 years old instruments.
